Professional Experience

2019-Co-founded Mindful Infusions in St. George, Utah. Deliver Ketamine infusions for depression, anxiety, pain syndromes, PTSD, OCD, and migraines.

2009-Present: Work as an independent contractor for San Juan Health in Monticello, Utah. Provide anesthesia services for this 25 bed rural hospital. Surgery types include general, ortho, neuro, pain, pediatric, ENT, dental and OB. Also provide anesthesia coverage for the emergency department. I specialize in a variety of fluoroscopically guided injections for pain management. I am trained in ultrasound guided regional techniques. Proficient at CVC and PICC line placement. Served as the director of anesthesia services from 2010-2017.

2009-Present: Independently contract for locum anesthesia coverage to the following facilities: Doctor’s Hospital in Leawood, Kansas, Eastern Utah Surgery Center in Price, UT, Blue Mountain Hospital in Blanding, UT, Kane County Hospital in Kanab, UT, St. George Endoscopy Center in St. George, UT and Moab Regional Hospital in Moab, UT.

2008-2009: Worked as an independent contractor for Doctor's Hospital in Leawood, Kansas. Provide anesthesia services for patients undergoing orthopedic, neuro, plastics, and dental restorative surgery. Also provided sedation for many different types of pain treatments.

2005-2008: Nurse Anesthesia training at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Memorial Hospital, Freeman Heart & Vascular Institute, and the VA Leavenworth.

2004-2005: Worked as a full-time registered nurse on the intensive care unit at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. Provided hands on patient care for the critically ill in a multi-disciplinary team approach. Patient types included: Neuro surgery, trauma, pre and postoperative CABG, valve, and AAA, DIC, MI, ARDS, critical GI bleed, sepsis, MODS, and drug overdose. Provided care of patients requiring: mechanical ventilation and weaning, titration of multiple vasoactive drips, continuous hemodynamic monitoring, continuous renal replacement therapy, ICP monitoring, ECG monitoring, thrombolytic therapy, and acute pain management. Provided assistance in central line placement and invasive procedures.

2003-2004: Worked as a full-time registered nurse on the intermediate care unit at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. Provided care for patients requiring ECG monitoring, peripheral and central hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, unstable neurological monitoring, acute pain management, and thrombolytic therapy. Managed patients requiring vasoactive medications including: Neosynephrine, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nitropresside, and occasionally Levophed. Also cared for patients requiring antidysrythmic medications including IV Amiodarone, and IV Cardizem.
